noob question from a non-noob

Gee I probably should have asked this, idk, 5 years ago, but, when measuring cup depth you want to measure from end to end of the wire channel, along whichever path across the inner cup that is the longest?? So for cups with apex projection this would be probably where the seams cross, but for a half-cup/open on top shape this may be along the top of the cup??

:)

  • That's how I always do it. Hope it's right. I always measure at the deepest part of the cup.

  • I believe the measurement is supposed to be a straight-is line, like it shouldn't look like this /\ when measuring it.
But how you described is how I've been doing it as well. You could always clarify in the review, say you measured the cup depth "this many inches" up from the bottom of the cup and give other measurements along the cup and how tall it is for reference.
