I took advantage of the Christmas sale at Mimi Holliday and loaded up on new lingerie. 4 new bra and pantie sets, and for that I got a free lingerie set (bralette and crotchless thong...haha, as if thongs have much crotch anyway). I took the plunge because I seriously began to adore my bralette sets from there. Yep, I have that super cool swan set. And I got a cherry print balconette bra on sale in 30DD and it fits similarly to my Evollove 30DD bras, which I love. They really work for my shape, but Mimi bras are even nicer quality.

However, they Mimi isn’t making 28E anymore. Their sizing was inconsistent in the past (too stretchy bands and extremely shallow cups), but now it’s pretty standard. So despite the loss of 28E as an option, the 30DD fit quite well.

Since I started seriously working out 2 years ago, my chest has gained an inch despite no weight gain or cup increase. This is fantastic! Not only do I look like I got a boob lift with a rounder shape, but bras fit so much better and 30 bands are even more of an option. 30DD is an easy size to find compare to 28E, especially since I can wear brands not catering to big busts (as 30DD is quite small). I also look so much more hourglass in my overall body shape. Yeah I’m one of those annoying excercise freaks now.

As for Mimi’s bras, well there are 4 hooks too, which also helps. I don’t need the tightest hook because of this. And the gores aren’t too far apart. And they cup shapes work for tear drop shapes. And they’re comfy, elegant and have delicate straps. I’m thrilled! This is definitely a “bra up” moment.

  • Yay for bra ups! Yes, more muscle tissue usually gives bra bands less ability to slide around and you can usually wear a looser band than a similarly-sized person with less muscle mass.

  • Congrats on gaining some muscle! I need to find more motivation to work out. Mind sharing what your doing?
