My first Comexim!

I finally got one after a year of drooling and curiosity. They aren't typically in my budget, mostly because I change sizes about every two months thanks to hormones and I don't want to spend a bundle when I know I won't wear it long. I came across the Sonia at Breakout Bras on clearance in my current size. For those of you who are familiar with Comexim, I have a few questions. First, the tag says 30HH, rather than 65L. I had a hard time listing the bra because this apparently isn't how Comexims are sized. Do you think they made a batch with UK sizing for Breakout Bras? I'd hate to think this was a copy. Next question, the wires are narrower than my Curvy Kates. Can I expect similar wire widths on all Comexim models? I'm used to the wider wires for my wide roots, and these feel a tad snug, but definitely doable. Do we have a list anywhere of Comexims that have a lot of projection at the wire? Or is it better to talk to Comexim directly about what I'm looking for and have them match me up with the appropriate styles? My growth spurt seems to be coming to an end and maybe I can make a long-term investment. ;) And lastly, if I like Comexims, are Ewa Michalak's even better?

  • From my experience, wires on Comexims are narrow. They are much, much narrower than CK in the same size. For example, wire width in CK 28JJ is 6.3", Comexim is 6-6.1". This should be consistent as cups get bigger. Also keep in mind that Comexim uses 2cm increments between cup sizes instead of 1".

I've only tried their half cups and plunges, neither of which have a lot of projection at the wire. I think this varies based on cup size. I get some cup collapse on both but they do stay up.

Joanna at Comexim doesn't write in English very well. You can always ask them questions, but I find the answer is not always clear.

As far as Comexim vs EM, I'm not sure what you mean by "better". Style, materials, or something else? EM won't customize bras at all and she is picky about what sizes she is going to make. Comexim will customize, but people report that they don't always do these things. Both brands suffer from cups that get very tall as cup size increases and straps that are set far apart. I find padded Comexim cups to be made of flimsier material than padded Ewa, but maybe that's just been my luck.

  • @Sovavosi, Haha, yes, I should have been more specific with my "better" question. I was wondering with all the Ewa love here, that people find a difference between the quality and comfort of Ewa over Comexim. I can see a difference in the quality between Comexim and CK (and I love CK); the measurements on the Comexim were very specific.

Thanks for the info on the wires and tallness of the cups. I definitely have an issue with cups being too tall and often have to modify. Downsizing always means they are too tight at the bottom.
