Should I expect to always have some sort of wrinkle or pucker somewhere on a seamed bra? I didn't think it was all that noticeable with a shirt on, but my husband lacks tactfullness and made it seem super obvious... :(

I tend to have no problem filling the bottom and sides of the cups but the inner aspect of the top is always lacking. I do have sewing skills, so I can alter them and take in the excess at the top, but I just want to put one on that fits.
Im going to try a half cup style next.
Unfortunately I only have a Nordstrom rack about an hour away, a Dillard's about 2hrs away(but they're limited on brands, and some better bra/lingerie shops and a Nordstroms about 3-4hrs away...which is why I'm ordering clearance priced bras on Amazon.

I'm not sure what else to do. Not all moulded bras fit me well because I hate excessive gaping in the cups, so rigid cups just don't work well for me. I wear a 30DD (usually 28E in Freya).

I generally wear t-shirts. I can wear an undershirt during the spring and fall. Winter's I layer anyway because I get too cold when the high is in the 30s lol. Summers are in the 100s so ribbed tank tops it is (hid the seams pretty well). And Im a nurse so work isn't a problem because scrubs hide it all.

  • I think the answer is "it depends". I have a problem with the top of bras because my breasts are conical on top, so I get wrinkles. You can always keep trying until something works, but keep in mind it is the bra and not you.

I wish I could find the article, I read a very positive blog about how everybody knows that you're wearing a bra anyway and not to get upset about the seams.

  • I think I read the same article...usually my husband says I look fine, and to stop being so picky or hard on myself. I tailor alot of my clothing to get a better fit lol. This time he flat out said I shouldn't try anymore seamed bras...he does have PTSD and was having a bad day yesterday so maybe that's why. Who knows. I'm wearing one of the bras again today with a bit thicker shirt on so I'll see if he says anything.

I took my mom bra shopping the day after Christmas to make her get a properly fitting bra (36GG/J vs a 38 and 40 DD) needless to say, it was a seamed bra. I found myself telling her the seams weren't very noticeable and she was just being critical of herself.
