Bra Shopping Blues and Reviews

I'm still looking for the Holy Grail of bras and currently, nothing I own feels right! I'm hunting for brands I haven't tried before in hopes of finding the perfect fit, but it needs to be affordable! As I cruise Ebay, I pop over here to check sizing and reviews. The more reviews I read, the more confused I get. One person says it's great for FoT, another says it's too shallow. One says the band is tight, another says the band is stretchy. No one agrees if the wires are narrow or wide. Don't get me wrong, I'm soooo thankful for the reviews, but sometimes they create shopper's paralysis and I end up buying nothing because I'm tired of getting shape-mismatches.

Here are some questions I have: Is Gorsenia primarily for round breasts and tend to run large in the cups?

Do Fantasie and Freya unlined bras give a pointy shape?

Is Freya plunge balconies okay for FoB, lots of projection needed, empty on top? I always stayed away from them, but now I wonder if they might work.

I'm curious about Charnos, but do they tend to be shallow at the wire?

  • I have only tried one Gorsenia, a 65M - Gorsenia ยป Bacio Rossa Soft Underwire Bra (K168) and it was absolutely huge. There's a lot of space on the top. I think it does run large in the cups, and the band was very stretchy.

  • Many companies will make some bras that are better for FOT and some that are better for FOB, so while I've never kept any fantasie and never tried any freya, I would assume they have some of each. Often a 'pointy' shape is seen if a FOB person tries on a FOT bra, but sometimes its just because a bra is very projected, and they are used to wearing foam domes which smoosh their boobs in to a perfect flattened roundness, and they are not used to seeing the actual shape of their breasts.

    so yes, it is confusing.

Oh, and sometimes one colorway will run tighter than others in the same model . . . often black runs tighter, but not always. I bought my first marcie up a band size, because everyone said it ran tight - turns out the yellow was super tight, but the raspberry i bought was super stretchy.

    amazon free returns . . . .
