Who's fault?
So I orderd from someone bras. Im in the uk, the other person in states. I am very careful as UK charges stupid VAT/Customs on ridiculously low values. Before paying I mentioned: Gift option must be ticked and value of max $50. I was assured all will be done following the instructions. Sending other type of parcels than gift has non vatable value below £14-15 which is $20...
Whats happened? Parcel was send as commercial package (where max non vat/customs value cannot exceed $20 if we want to avoid paying those fees). User said that she couldnt see gift option (so why the %^&* didnt send me a message?). Now she's accepting that is her fault but doesnt want to cover customs caused by her mistake (fees of £17 - i paid for bras big chunk of money so I aint gonna pay even penny more). Im happy to leave the parcel on the post office and wait to be returned but she wants ME to cover postage fees?
Who should pay? me - who gave clear instrucitons and explained that UK charges for any shit sent from outside europe or person who did not do whats been asked for? Jj ay thoughts ? Wonderful Friday's morning...............

my job at work is to ship books, sometimes overseas (i live in USA) and i always select "gift" option and make the value less, so no one will ever have to pay fees. it's super easy to do, so i would say it's her fault and not yours by any means. if i were you, i'd do what you mentioned and refuse delivery, and have it sent back to her and never speak to her again.
i'm so sorry this happened to you.
If I’m understanding correctly she has agreed to refund the price you paid for the bras but not the shipping cost?
