Ewa Michalak Sizing help

Hello!

I currently wear a UK 32G in Bravissimo Satine and am after a bit of size advice regarding picking the closest sizes to try from Ewa Michalak. I am finally taking the plunge and placing an order for the PL Złote Oko in several sizes to help narrow down my fit. Currently I can "afford" to place an order for 4 sizes.

I am struggling to figure out which ones to go with because the fitting advice is conflicting. Ewa show UK sizes next to the Polish ones and so my first thought would be to try a 70G as that corresponds to my current UK bra and the measurements listed here indicate that it should be a good fit.

However if I use Ewa's calculator it suggests I try a 75G. A band *and* cup size higher.

To make things more confusing, if I take the measurements I put into the calculator and instead look at their size chart table, it would seem to suggest that I would need either a 70HH/J or a 75GG/H. Neither of which seems at all close to my current closest attempt at a fit of a UK 32G.

I've just placed an order with Comexim to try some of their offerings, and found their advice easier to follow so quickly picked 4 sizes to trial. Hopefully at least one will be a good fit!

My bank account is totally going to complain after all this! 😉

At this stage I'm just after recommendations for starting sizes to try out as my fit issues are far too complex to fine tune in advance when I've not even tried their bras yet.

I already know that I may have issues with the gore heights and strap placements and even cup widths/depths and maybe even apex positions in both these brands, just as I do with the Bravissimo Satine, but after seeing a gore alteration tutorial and trying it on my old Satine with a safety pin to hold it temporarily in place (so that the wires totally touch) and finding that doing so alleviated all kinds of fit issues I'd been having to some extent, I'm more hopeful about getting one of the Polish brands to fit.

Any advice on starting sizes from people with experience of Ewa and UK sizes would therefore be great. I'm currently not able to take photos of my current fit in my Satine which is why I didn't post a fitting help request. If needs be I can explain my fit issues, but I feel that will be answered when I try the bras on!

Thanks for your help!

  • Hey there, I'm not sure where you are located, but if you are in the US or Canada there are two shops that sell EM bras that you can return.

    Zathiya (US): https://www.zathiya.com
    Bra Obsessed (Canada): https://braobsessed.com

I have not used EM's calculator, I heard that it gave mixed results. In the PL, I go with my UK size since my breasts are rather short. If you have tall boobs you might have to size up (dbmamaz, is this correct?).

Her band sizes can be tight. If your snug size is close to your band size you might have to size up (31" rib, 32" band, for example). I wear a 28 and I've had some of her 60s only stretch to 27". Others have stretched to 31".

I'm in the UK so it's cheaper to order direct as there's no customs charges from EU countries.
My breasts are short and high set. I measure 30" as my underbust measurement but have never been able (even when it measured smaller) to fit a 30 comfortably so go with a 32 band. I did try a 30 in the Satine in store at the fitters request (ages ago now) but she couldn't get it done up on me. So agreed on 32. If Ewa fits true to 32/70 being a 32" band then it should fit ok. I don't actually know what my Satine in a 32 measures and it's too old by a couple of years to be worth checking now.

I only got so long out of it because I don't wear it at home because it's too painful to sit down in. But I don't know how much of that is actual fit issues and how much is just me being hypersensitive to just about everything (I have ASD).
