Bra Shopping Woes
Man I see why so many people dislike bra shopping. I was killing time the other day, so I popped into la senza just to see what they had going on. Generally when I'm shopping, I mind my own business and seek help when I am in need. One employee asked me my size and then politely showed me wear I could find my other styles in that size. Everything was going all right, until I went to the dressing room and she said "Let me know when you're trying on so I can check out how the bra fits." In my head I thought, "Uhhhh, that's scary. I don't actually think you know what you're doing" But then I also thought "Hey now, give the woman a chance, just because you think of la senza as a cheap bastardization of the already subpar Victoria's Secret doesn't mean it will be bad. This woman could be very knowledgeable." Anyway the woman comes over to assess my bra, and I'm pretty satisfied with the fit apart from every so slight gapping at the top of my smaller breast. I mentioned my thoughts and she was like "Oh we can put you in a smaller cup." and I thought, we can but I know this story. So we go down a cup, and now it fits none of my boobs. I'm quadding, side spilling, and trying to stuff my bosoms into the bra. When she saw it she said "Now that is sexy." And then it hit me. This woman has no clue what well-fitting is supposed to look like. She really thinks overflowing cups with breast tissue running like water is cute. Wow. I see why so many woman are looking a mess. I said "actually no. All this side tissues goes in the bra not draping outside of the cup, and I only want 2 boobs not 4." Looking rather put out she shrugged, awkwardly stared at me as I poked my ample side boobage for emphasis, then bustled off to misguide someone else. I forgot how bad it is for the teens or 20 somethings or whoever the store's target demographic is. Misinformation and frankly ignorant bra fitters are abundant in the really popular lingerie stores. I really understand why so many people are wearing ill fitting bras.

Ugh. Ugh.
this reminds me of a fitter at Nordstrom telling me the Natori feathers bra was a push up and looked great...I just shook my head and said this bra is completely the wrong shape for me. The cups were empty because the bra too shallow so my boob were escaping out the center.
