Weight Gain & Loss

Hi! I am on meds that made me super hungry and known for weight gain. Within 6 months I went from a consistent 106lbs to 126lbs, and (theoretically 26G, but EW is tight so an EW 28FF)/28F/FF bra size to a loose band 28G, 30F/FF size. Since my band size changed, it seems my boobs are gaining weight proportional to my body. Anyone experience this phenomenon with weight gain?

I am losing 2-3 lbs now that I have halved this med. My big question, when you lost the weight, did your bra size go back to the original or did your boob size stay large? Not sure how boobs fluctuate with weight loss? I only have 2 bras that fits me right now but nothing under a white top. So should I invest in another bra or wait (get it, weight. pun. haha!) for my weight to go down and my boob size will go down too?

  • Not sure what your medication was, but my dieting leads to weight loss most places but not in my breasts. My nurse practitioner says it is because I have a lot of “dense tissue” which is not susceptible to dieting and fat loss. Dense tissue means glands, ducts etc., vs. fat which is not dense. As a result my breasts have never actually gotten smaller with weight loss. :\

  • I also have dense/fibrous tissue, from my experience I’ve gotten smaller in band size but the boobs stay the same - except for needing to go larger in the cup (usually but not always) for a proper bra fit.
