Anyone have fit/brand advice?

Hi guys,

I could really use some of your insight again. Here is my current story:

For the last year I have been wearing Ewa Michalak again. Before, I wore the non-wired Freya Deco's for about a year non stop. However, they were really worn out, so I needed new bras. I decided to give underwired bras another go and ordered some M and CHP bras from Ewa Michalak. My cup size had declined in the year I wore only non-wired bras, so I started out a little smaller than in my previous orders a few years earlier. They actually felt good and I had no fit issues. However, almost a year has passed now and so I am spilling out of these new bras. Halfway I had ordered a larger cup size already, but now these are also too small. So I tried going up a cup size again. Foolishly I ordered only CHP ones this time... And they feel absolutely horrible! I seem to have the same issues again as a few years back, which were also the reason why I stopped wearing underwired bras altogether. The wires feel weird, somehow unstable or as if they won't stay up (while they are leaving marks too); the straps are too wide set which causes gaping at the top of the cup while I cannot seem to fill the bottom either (wires sit to low but cannot be higher up either because of the gore digging in otherwise). I am confused and don't know if these problems just arise because of the small band - big cups combination or whether it is something else..

Luckily I had kept some of my old bras, Pl's in 60G which I now wear with an extender. I found that PL is somewhat too high for me (can't fill the top while the bottom is fine) compared to the M styles. After my holiday, which is in one week, I would like to order the M styles in 65F as well, see how these fit. Hopefully they will work, but I am also worried about only fitting into only one type of bra that is manufactured by only one brand. I mean, what if they were to be discontinued?

Do you guys recognize these issues? And do you know any other brand that has bras with narrow wires, short deep cups and low center gores? I am guessing my shape is causing a lot of fit issues unfortunately :(

  • Have you considered Ewa's BM or SF styles? The have narrow wires & good immediate projection (at my size at least) plus they are far more forgiving with the stretch lace on top, allowing for fluctuations in size and asymmetry.

  • Wearing wireless bras causes my breast tissue to widen. And, E.M. wires are simply too narrow in my size range.

Also, the "marks" you mention, where are they? If they are along the perimeter of a breast/breasts, you may have too much center fullness for E.M.'s gore design. E.M. gore bases are among the widest in the industry (another reason I can't wear them). Perhaps you've become a bit more center full? My center fullness pushes wired bras down within 5 minutes.

Several of us alter strap locations with needle and thread.

You may be experiencing "orange in a glass" and need a larger size. Are you short-rooted?

You are not alone. I've almost given up on wired bras and wear, nearly exclusively, wireless models.
