DIY Bra Laundry Bag for Larger, Molded Cups

I wanted to have the convenience of being able to use a washing machine and cylindrical bra bag. In my haste, however, I unfortunately forgot to factor in "bra matrix" manufacturing and bought three bags that were too small. I finally thought of a way around my oversight and sewed two bags together - two lines of lengthwise stitches an inch apart, and a slit halfway between the stitches.

Overall, they look like mesh bongos. I'll be testing the modified bra bag (hopefully) soon with two molded bras: a 32:9 nestled into a stiffer 36:8. I had to gently guide one side of the bras through the slit, but one cup fits into one bag slot. I hope this works.

  • Hi, I can sympathize. Bought a bra ball a few years ago only to discover it's too small for my bras. I had to give it away.
In my experience, companies differ in bag sizes. Some too small for me, some just big enough. I'm still looking for the ones that can fit bigger/more moulded bras, just in case I need them.
My best bag came from a store in my country with nothing but the words "bra washing bag" written on it, so I have no idea who was the manufacturer for that store.
    Found this: https://www.lakeland.co.uk/24030/2-White-Mesh-Net-Washing-Bags-For-Bras---To-Size-GG https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B6V4DA0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_uvIoBbD8SWK09
Don't know if it would be helpful as I haven't tried it yet.

  • Too funny, I was just thinking of posting with the question of what bra laundry bags people have found that will actually fit their bras.
