Cottony soft bras for bigger sizes - Melissa Dessous is my new favourite brand

Can I just take a moment to rave about Melissa Dessous' Eco line? I just received my Melissa 0342 and OMG my boobs are in heaven.

I'd been putting off ordering from them because of the total lack of information about them and worries about sizing. After getting some sizing pointers and style pointers over at /r/abrathatfits, I finally took the plunge.

First of all, holy cats fast service. I ordered from Poland a week ago, and received my bra and panties this morning.

Secondly, these are some seriously comfortable undergarments. Breathable cotton-linen lined with the SOFTEST cotton jersey. I feel like I'm wearing pajamas. Soft, cottony supportive pajamas that hold my boobs lifted and separated.

Finally, while I appreciate the advances made in "cute" and "sexy" bras in bigger sizes, I've been longing for some of the laid-back, almost androgynous, "comfortably cute" bras available for less-busty folk. This bra is exactly that. It's not sexy in a cleavage or satin ribbon sort of way, and it doesn't have a cute bird print but it flatters my body without adding any frills or cutesy details. It makes ME feel sexy, not just like I'm wearing a sexy boobie holster.

I'll try to post some fit pics later. For now, you can just imagine me with soft cottony clouds gently lifting and cradling my boobs.

  • I've looked at those bras thousands of times. There's a lot of styles I like there. But Poland doesn't work that well for me it would seem. Do they have Polish wires?

  • These wires are definitely a bit wider than some of the other Polish brands (a bit wider than EM, and as I understand Comexim/Kris Line/Avocado are even narrower). They seem similar in width to Panache/Cleo, or some of the wider Freyas. If you're more of a Curvy Kate/Change/Tutti Rouge kinda girl, they might still be too narrow, but they're not the average ridiculously narrow Polish build.
