ElliceLydia Rosie update

Just thought I'd post an update here about my bad experience with @ElliceLydia and how I got on after emailing them.

In short - at first the wrong size was sent, instead of 26D it was more like 32B, too big in the band as the main problem.

After receiving feedback and confirmation here that this was a clear error I decided to email and try to sort something out.

After emailing I received a fast response from ElliceLydia who were apologetic and offered to alter the item. On the website it says returns for their error or alteration are free, however this is not the case as I had to return at my own cost even though this problem wasn't my fault.

When I got the item back - the band fits. I haven't updated the measurements for it yet but it originally had a flat measurement of 23.5" and stretched to 31", now it has a flat of 17.5" and stretched of 27", I'd say this was probably more a 28 and still not a 26 but it fits now.

However, in my opinion, the item is now ruined everywhere else and I really don't think much care has been put into altering this. The cups are squashed together and overlap so much that they've become uneven. The band doesn't stay flat when the item is put down. And even more carelessly, the cups have actually been put back on backwards?

If they can't make a 26D then there's no way they could make a 22GG, so why is that even listed?! Surely they'd have to cancel the order and be honest at that point? I wish they'd cancelled mine, I want my money back.

Anyway I think I'll definitely not return here again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to either, unless you're a 'standard' size.

  • Ugh! This is disappointing :-( Thanks for sharing your experience.

  • That after looks awful!! D: So sorry you had to deal with that. I myself am non-confrontational, but I would suggest not giving up. Take a screen shot of their policy and say they owe you a refund for the cost to return. Send them those side by side pictures and ask if this is the quality control they think is ok. If you are ok with sending them images wearing it without your face in it, show if it fits badly. They messed up and either don't have enough experience to know how to fix it, or considering the design they couldn't scale the cups without making new ones, just wanted to save on fabric.
