I had a breast reduction March 2017, and while I have gained some back, I am having trouble find a bra wire the cup depth works with the width of my breasts. My left one has a sore/hard spot from the surgery, that doesn't like wires to get too close to it. I need support, obviously, and I need comfort. I just don't know what I should look for. I'm also short in the torso, so a lot of times (before & after surgery) wires want to poke me in the armpits because they are too tall for my proportions. I'm not sure I have the money to undertake my own bra making, but I am good at alterations and am learning corsetry (which is why my funds are tied up, besides my income being low to begin with).

  • What’s your underbust and supported bust measurements? What are some of the bras (brand, style, size) where the wires have been too narrow? Have you tried wireless?

We can definitely help, just need some more specific info.

  • I have only just started trying G cups, as everything has been a process since surgery, of course. My band size is 38-40 depending on firmness from one brand to the next. I have not officially measured the width of my breasts from cf to side to help me figure out what to look for in new bras, but I think that will be my next step. My bust is very close set, and a lot of bras aren’t close enough in the center.
