Narrow wires causing neck pain? Rambling cause I'm avoiding work.

So I've been wearing the 70FFs and 70Gs interchangeably since I got the last shipment and one thing I noticed is that when I wear the 70FFs I get this annoying side neck and inside shoulder pain (on my larger side), and it persists until about an hour after I take off the bra. This didn't used to be a thing at all, and I know I've obviously had some growth (but I guess not enough for 70G grumble grumble).
Aside from compression, which in general is not an issue for me, the only difference between the two sizes is--the width of wires.

Has anyone had experience with too narrow wires (or to do with width in general) causing neck and shoulder pain?

I find it very suspect that it goes away after I take off the bra. I can deal with a lot of fit issues seeing as nothing seems to fit just right at the moment, but I draw the line at pain. I wear bras to avoid neck and shoulder pain, not to get more of it!

I can't wait until I get my unlined Kris Line (any day now, and hope to god it fits too--not sure if going three cups up would be enough from how 70GG fit) cause going through weekends without wearing a bra is (literal) pain, but also wearing wire over the weekend can be so tiresome. Maybe I should invest in one of those sleep tops of Ewa's but they look like they squish the boobs together and there's no separation... not good, I can't stand my boobs touching for extended periods of time.
Wish they would make up bras with like silicon soft wires to replace wireless bras. That seems like a good compromise. Just something to give it a little more structure without it actually being a real metal wire. And silicon is sturdy but soft (the Diva cup and similar menstrual cups are a perfect example--tmi but you can't even feel that thing when it's inside *just right*).

  • Yes absolutely. Once I got wires that actually matched my breast root and didn’t slide down, I began to have a lot of neck and shoulder pain. It was because I had been using too narrow wires. It makes sense- when the wire was sliding down it didn’t come anywhere near my breast tissue so I didn’t really have it pressing there. Once I had my wires following the contours of my body and actually supporting the weight of my breasts I began to have terrible pain from the wires laying across my hidden breast tissue a little under my arm. I buy my own wires and replace them in my bras so I went up two wire sizes (+1 in) and the pain went away!

  • I'm glad I'm not imagining it, at least! The CK bras don't give me pain, I assume cause the wires are off to my back lol. The 70Gs slide down slightly, no pain. The 70FFs, it's insane. Not only do my neck and shoulder hurt, but my (common) headaches are much more intense!
It didn't happen before, either. It's only after this recent growth that it happens.
