Custom Ordered versus Custom Made

I have aspired to a custom ordered bra from Ewa or Comexim - looking for that bra that I do not have to alter myself to get a good fit. I've read about fellow bratabaser's adventures with Comexim and Ewa - struggles with orders, size discrepancy, alterations not done or not a good fit and realized that while the bras are a custom order, they are not custom made. It is just two people going back and forth with what they are willing to do, what they think might fit, but still ending up with a stab in the dark.

I was wondering if anyone has had a real custom-made bra for them? Elsewhere, (not Ewa or Comexim who do custom ordering not custom fit). Where you were measured in multiple directions in person, selected fabric and ended up with a bra that fit your breasts as they are, not how someone thinks a 65J should be. Where? Price? Experience?

Reason I ask, is that I came across a website for an actual custom bra "Uplift Custom Bras" featuring a lady in Canada who sews bras. They do look lovely. I have never toured Ontario. Maybe it is scenic in the spring.

  • I have never heard of Ewa making custom bras other than size, straps, and some fabric change outs. I’d be curious to see if she would do this. Have you tried asking them yet?

  • I think AprilGoulding recently had a custom bra made by Ellesmere lingerie. Maybe she could help?

That being said neither Ewa nor Comexim actually do custom bras that I know of. I think I read Ewa offered to make a custom bra for someone if they came to her so she could measure them, lol.
