More Custom Fitting Talk

I am jealous of AprilGoulding for her pretty much custom fit experience with Ellesmere. Sigh...

So I did some checking and within reasonable driving range of where I live in Hicksville Alberta, Canada, there are three custom fitting bra ladies. Starting prices range between $200 and $300, though there was another lady that started at $300 and went up to $3000! I think that she works with a clientele that runs in different circles than me as she also offers lingerie tours of Europe. If there is champagne I might sign up! I dismissed the pop-up seamstresses who sew up triangle bras, bralettes, and poorly fitting wired bras with organic hemp material. They tend not to make bras for fit or support and do not appear to have the sewing skills to adapt patterns to actual boobs.

It seems that it is common for future bras built off of the original pattern go down in price, but do not assume. They offer materials that wick for physical type jobs, adaptations for fluctuating sizes, and of course silks, satins, and laces for beautiful effect. I was still very impressed with the lady in Burlington, Ontario. Her facebook page, www.facebook.com/upliftcustombras, had some stunning bras. I was liking the silver/greys and a stunning one in purples and I don't even like purple. The lady even told me about a lingerie shop in Hamilton, Ontario, Bliss Bras, that offers band size 28-56 and cup size AA to N if folks want to tie it in to their vacationing experience of southern Ontario. Funny lady!

Folks are correct in that the price is daunting. Not paying repressed Polish wages plus the extra time involved makes a difference when in Canada! For myself, I can get away with finding a base bra cheaply off the internet and making the alterations needed to get an excellent fit. It is nice to know that there are other options for people who have the need and can allot their budget to a few expensive pieces.

  • Agreed! It is an excellent option for those who have a stable size and the funds to enjoy truly custom fitted bras.
The 3k one, wow! I wonder if she uses gold threading :-D It would be interesting to see her quality and craftsmanship. Just because it has a hefty price tag doesn't necessarily mean it is of superior quality, so ot would be interesting to see.
