Stepping into Sports Bras

Today I was telling a friend of mine how hard it is to find a sports bra with a band tight enough, and how when they are tight enough, they often don’t have back closure. With my bad shoulder, I struggle to get them over my head without back closure.

My friend said she never pulls them over her head, but steps into them and pulls them up. This sounded crazy to me - how can a band that will stretch over my hips and thighs be tight enough around my ribs to be at all supportive? Is this actually a common way to put on a sports bra?

  • I can't imagine so, but my hips are the largest area of my body... Molke told me that a lot of the people that buy their bras step into them. I really can't imagine this for someone with a tiny ribcage.

  • She has also added that having a back closure “stops the elastic from workin correctly”. Is this really the case?
