Weight loss and bra size changes

This will be a bit long...I have not been very active in the past few years here. I miss the old days on bratabase but I'm also happy to still be here for new bra adventures.
I used to love chatting about bras here. In my early days on bratabase I used to buy and try (and return) so many bras and wrote many adventures. It was a fun time. Sadly due to some health issues and medication I gained some weight and for about 3 years at my highest weight I was sized out on all brands besides Bravissimo (34L Urban Rose was my best fit). I did not have much to talk about bras. I did not feel like looking into some new bras, nothing would work anyway so why bother?! I just bought a new 34L bravissimo when an old one bit the dust.

About 8 months ago I started to change to a healthier diet and lost some weight. Also 2018 was a much better year for my mental Health which is also helpful when you want to loose weight. I lost about 18kg and about 14 cm on hips, waist and boobs circumference (I'm an hourglass shape, and luckily I seem to gain and loose weight evenly). The best thing was, I did not even aim for weight loss as my first goal. I used to do a lot of crash diets in the past, none ever worked and I usually gained the weight back. I just wanted to get healthier in general but it was the best decision ever and everything worked out so well. I don't starve myself just eat a certain way which is apparently really good for me.

Now I'm around a UK size 32JJ / 32K (34K in Bravissimo) and I think I will try some new bras again. Also the best thing is that my old favorite bra 32K - Panache » Ariza Balconnet Bra (5051) fits me again! The best bra ever, it just combines excellent support, a decent round shape and even makes boobs appear a bit smaller than they are! (or just not *that* big, small is the wrong word here :D) Too bad it has been discontinued a few years ago and I fear the day when my few Arizas I still have will be worn out. There are some 30Ks still on eBay, in case I loose more weight… but other sizes are hardly to be found anymore.

I wish they would bring it back. Or I just have to try new things. I have not kept up with brands and new Things in the bra community for 3 years! Is there anything that I need to try because it is that amazing? Curvy kate bras still have upside 7 shape? Freya wires still too week in the K-cup range? EvaMichalak customer service still so difficult? What did I miss? :D

  • I don’t want to be rude, just ask a question based on the Ariza you posted...are you that full on top still? It will help me recommend some things.

  • Welcome back :) Congratulations on losing inches and feeling so good these days! Looking forward to reading more bra adventures!
