Has anyone tried making or altering their own bras?
I got some new bras recently at the local boutique and had to go back and exchange two of them as one was the wrong size (the salesperson accidentally gave me an HH instead of H) and the other was just not the best fit due to gore chafing and a band that ran a size too big. I was talking to my partner about it and he reminded me that I should try making my own bras. It's something I've been thinking about for a couple of years as I've seen some bra making books and a bra-making class on craftsy.
I'm curious if any of you sew and if you have ever made your own bra or if you regularly alter your bras to get a better fit. I know some of us tweak bras here and there, but I've never really studied bra construction to know how to actually take apart a bra and reconstruct it.
My size changes frequently and I'm in the G+ size range, so it would be nice not to have to buy a new set of bras every 5 months.
I'd love to know your experiences.

I know there were a few that were doing it back when I first joined but they aren't active anymore. Sorry, I cannot remember their user IDs.
I know @Cupandahalf does alterations on hers including wire switch outs etc so she would be a good person to talk with about supplier options.
I also know @LeProfessor had talked about starting a bra company. Maybe she would have some helpful hints?
I know there was another recently that spoke of it as well, I want to say @Hugsforyourjugs ( or @Hugs4yourjugs) ? Sorry if that one isn't correct. She has a blog so you could find her under the "meet the bloggers" section at the bottom of the page as well.
