My bravissimo order

My biggest ever Bravissimo order arrived finally! Nothing fits, because I overestimated my size (I used to size 2 cups up from my Panache size and all the bras that I got in 34JJ had many Reviews saying they run small in band), but I learn so much about their newer styles, sizing and cut. At least I can add a lot of data here.

I did a measurement and picture marathon this weekend...since I want to return them asap to get money back for new bra trials on my PayPal! No way I can review everything so quickly so I will gather some info here until I get around to write full reviews.

I think some info on Bravissimo Website about the bras is lacking. When they say stretchy lace on top, it's not always that. Even Bravissimo customer service acted like they only have 2 main cuts, that is balconette (Alana) and full-cup (Melrose, Darcy) when the bras I have here sometimes are neither.

What I bought:

34JJ - Bravissimo » Lacey Bra (LN486)
The most interesting bra! It features centered straps! It's also the most expensive! 3 part balconette construction, Bravissimo calls it a full-cup. Lace on top is stretchy, nude lining is not stretchy. Narrow wires similar to Darcy, very tall cup but it gives a really nice round shape, I found that it even "minimizes" a bit, look at my angle pics? Or am I imagine it? Yes to this!

34JJ - Bravissimo » Nina Bra (LN523)
Another band-less style. It's more roomy at the bottom of the cup but I noticed the wires are quite wide on this one. 2cm wider than Darcy wires. They call it balconette, but it's a 4 part "full cup" like construction in this size. The lace is stretchy, the lining is nude and stretchy too. I don't like that gap at the gore very much. Also not a fan of the color and I found it that the lace looks a bit cheap. Not a fan.

34JJ - Bravissimo » Lulu Bra (LN581) It's a 4 part cup, it's a balconette, it's less tall than the "full cup" bras. Up to G cup it's actually a half-cup bra. The stretchy lace on top is actually very stretchy. The lining and the edge of the cup is stretchy! Very round shape. Yesss!!!

32JJ-K - Bravissimo » Padded Sleep Bra (NW265)
Just look at my pics. Very very tall bra. I don't know if I'm in the right size or if it's supposed to fit like this, No to this.

32K - Bravissimo » Sadie (LN518RED)
Weird bra. I guess it's the non-banded style. I never got along with these. I should have known better. Cups have a traditional 3 part balconette shape. There is barely any room in the lower cup, I couldn't fill it. Very shallow at the bottom and sides and very very roomy on top. Gives a pointy projected shape. It was actually painfully shallow. Lace is stretchy, no lining but this plastic band at the edge that could cut in on soft boobs. No, thanks. Oh btw it's nothing like the Jasmine, feels much more sturdy!

34JJ - Bravissimo » Dina Bra (LN578)
3 part balconette shape. Stretchy lace but lined with non stretchy fabric. the strap detail looks cute and is very stretchy. I'm on the fence with this one.

32K - Bravissimo » Ada Bra (LN45)
4 part full cup construction. Both the lace and the lining are stretchy. I don't know yet. I found the shape a bit east west. Also the band is very stretchy, and the fabric looks a bit cheap. Also it did not give much uplift.

34JJ - Bravissimo » Darcy Bra (LN260) Full-cup style based on Urban Rose, top section has stretchy lace, is lined with a non stretchy fabric in this size. The edge has a little stretch. Narrow wires! 18cm in 34JJ! Very nice soft silky fabric. It's a yes.

34JJ - Bravissimo » Jessie Bra (LN558) Full-cup style, 4 part, side sling. Top section is lined with unstretchy fabric. Shape is a bit pointy. Not impressed, I won't try another.

  • Awesome! Make sure you check out PayPal’s fee returns policy. Thank you so much for doing this research for the rest of us!

  • cupandahalf Yes I will do that. It will cost a lot to return this big parcel. Not mentioning the 45CHF in custom fees I had to pay for nothing. I have to figure out if there is a way to get these back because I don't keep anything from my order so I did not "buy" anything from overseas.

Oh I cannot return it tomorrow… to much stress, I think i will give myself a window until end of next week. It's really a lot of work to go through so many bras, but it's also fun. It would have been a lot better if anything fitted but I think I can get an idea of my bravissimo size now and which styles I could order in the feature and which to avoid.

I received the parcel on Friday and after I tried everything on and nothing fitted I wanted to cry and didn't feel like posting here about it. It was a nightmare... *sigh* but the data can help alot so there's that.
