I wasn't expecting a bra adventure, but I was in a Winners and I decided to see if they had any bras in my size. HA! Well I mean I was checking to see if they had any bras in size 36DD. And they did, but most of them had "up to two full cup sizes" padding. Argh! But I did find one - the very picture of beige blandity. Beige. No ribbons. No lace. A featureless bra cup. Just an utterly characterless bra. And I have always loved excessive, ostentatious fooferaw, but you know and I know that a basic beige seamless can save you, so I went ahead and tried it on.
I'm so glad that I have the three bras I do have. Because I probably would have thought that bra was okay. The band was too big, the center gore wasn't touching my sternum, and I had sideboob overspill *and* quadraboob. It was completely unacceptable, in other words.
But now it's got me worried for my La Vie En Rose order. What if their 36DD bras fit that badly? Then I'll have to return them and order from brastop again, oh woe is me, I'll have an excuse to buy that pretty teal-turquoise plunge! But on the other hand, no ten dollar bras ever again...

If the 36DDs you order don't fit you, I'd recommend trying a 34F
