What does it mean about shape & fit when a bra sits just slightly below your IMF? Can this be fixed by tightening the straps?

  • The bra is too shallow at the wire for you, or the wire does not match the shape of your IMF. It can’t be fixed unless you get a new bra. If you’re keeping this bra you just have to keep pushing the wires back up.

  • There are a few different causes of this that I am aware of:

Not enough projection in the cup to accommodate your projection

    Cups altogether too small

Wire shape/curve does not match your root shape

Band too small (and creeps downward into a narrower part of the rib area)

Breasts too heavy/pendulous (combined with band too big/weak and/or loose straps)

Cups too big (not anchoring the cups in place)

Band shape mismatch (ie you have a V shape and the band is designed for a | | shape)

I feel like I am missing one or two, but I'm sure others will add.
