Oct 30, 2012 - So, that was an interesting turn of events...

I will preface this post by saying that my period started today, which I am sure affects fit. So, this morning, I happily threw the tags off my Darcy 30F and took him out for his first 12 hour day at work, but I didn't feel very supported, because the cup was still slightly too big. After I got home, I noticed that the wire marks were quite low, so I adjusted the whole thing up. But, as soon as I did that, the band felt super loose.

So, for experiment's sake, I put the bra on backwards, on the tightest hook, so that it is sitting on breast tissue. Then, I gradually pull it down, so it isn't anymore (or maybe it is, slightly; I'm not entirely sure). After I flip it around, the centre gore is sitting almost entirely on migrated breast tissue. I scoop the heck out of that, etc., and suddenly, I look like Christina Hendricks!

How does doing that equal a 3+ difference in cup size?? And how high is a bra actually supposed to sit??

  • I'm also curious how high the bra should sit. I also try to make sure the underwire is directly under my breasts, or as high as I can get it without sitting on tissue.

  • I've been known to go up two, maybe two and a half cup sizes during my period! I don't know what's going on with your bra, but it sounds like you never scooped properly in the morning and so all the changes you noticed were due to massive boob migration.

I try to make sure my underwire is directly under my breasts as well. Tomorrow morning, try ensuring that the bra is on properly (if you need a tutorial on that, just ask) and see if there's massive ridiculousness all day again?
