Day 2 of the Bra Search in NYC:
I'm running btwn signing for the new apt and prepping for the move. Saw on Yelp one of my bookmarked Lingerie to Try stores was a few blocks away.

Lingerie On Lex: 831 Lexington Ave
A-G cups

Little disappointing first impression - Looks like demographic age 50, but there's some cute stuff. Only seeing Bs out on the floor. Requested 38F. She looked doubtfully at my chest and said "that's what I am." Welcome doubters! I, shallow wide, wearing a sports bra come in peace. I explained that I had just called and was told they had some. But she ran downstairs to look for Fs and Gs. After I made several rounds in the tiny shop, she resurfaced with 4 bras. "This is all I have."

None worked. The Chantelle Rive Gauche came close in a 38F but cut into top of my boobs and none of the gores came near my sternum. Should I go up a size? or simply find bras from that Shallow Bra listing?

  • Since none of the gores tack, it wouldn't hurt to try a size up. The shallow bra list doesn't work for me at all. I have all of the characteristics of shallow breasts, but none of the recommended bras work for me, so I'd never recommend that anyone stick strictly to the list.

  • That's good to know! I am definitely gonna try a size up on the next Bra Field Trip.
