Bra slump

Black bras are my daily go to, I think because it’s super easy to coordinate bottoms with and because my uniform for work is black pants and a black shirt (unless I’m in the pharmacy in which I have a cornflower blue scrub top, but my under shirt is still black per uniform/dress code).

My favourite is the 65FF PL Zlote Oko, although the fabric of the band is stretched out and shot. I’m still okay with 3rd of 4 hooks. But it’s padded and considerably less breathable....I love the shape, fit, and comfort though.

My 65F SM Wrozka is a stunner, although a smidge too small, and has the same band issues as the PL Zlote Oko (I bought both used together). I’m popping out a little bit. Under the uniform tops, it invisible, but not under thinner clingier tops. Straps are a little bit too wide, to nobody’s surprise.

My 30F Marcie is a decent fit, but is a smidge too tall which makes the cups a little bit loose on top. The top of the cups lay flat against my tissue under shirts so again, invisible problem under clothes. There’s also the notorious firm Panache wires.

I’d like to get a better basic black bra, especially for this time of year, so preference would be for a bra without padding or lining. Not sure where to look. I’m on a fairly tight budget still.

A 30FF (28G if it’s stretchy enough) Lucy would potentially fit me as I’m even to fob, but it’s partly wires and gore I’m concerned about.

I’m unsure about Ewas and another BM, although I’ve always been interested in Bibi Black or the other half lace black bras...but there’s also the sheer mesh SM Czarna something? Except for the decoration at the top of the cups...worried that it might show through more than lace or seams. Plus cost unless I find used.

Potentially the Curvy Kate Lifestyle is an option, or the black Ellace. Maybe Florence again but a different size now? There’s a few CK options but among the cheaper ones that are not wide and shallow.

I’m not sure what other relatively basic (but not boring) black bras might work for me with softer tissue that’s narrow, pendulous and functionally short and fob. Any other suggestions?

I feel like neither of the soft cup black bras I have right now are goldilocks bras. I’d like to seek out a better fit.

Thanks in advance for your information!

  • I love black too!! And beige and white -for the reasons you listed!!

As you know, my mother who has similar tissue to you had the best success ever with Gorsenia semi-padded. They are much more forgiving to soft upper tissue than the regular soft cups as they seem to be a little more open. They weigh less than half of an EM padded bra. You could order from othereden and use the paypal free returns if they don't fit. You could order a couple of styles and sizes from every brand - Gaia, Ava, Gorsenia. I do this all the time when trying to see if a form will suit me.

And if you'd ever like to try Krislines or Kingas, just shoot me a PM. I also just listed my 65FF EM Sekret Wiktorii.

  • Thanks AprilGoulding. I have got a semi-padded coming with a swap, actually. Yvette iirc. I’ll see how it goes. I saw your Sekret Wiktorii but it’s more than I have right now. Thanks for the PM offer. Might take you up on it.
