When one of your favorite bras...

...starts to die a slow painful death. I was cleaning out my bra drawer and upon inspection my well loved Ewa Michalak Sm Wróżka, I see it is in the beginning stages of death. The fabric on the backband appears to be disinteresting near the clasp. It’s as if the fabric is losing its structural integrity. :(
I haven’t been able to wear it since having my baby and had high hopes to have it see daylight soon. But now I fear it will just shred I try to wear it. Nothing would be worse than being out and having your bra fail you.
Guess I’ll hang onto to her a bit longer to eventually recycle the wires like I usually do. After all, these narrow underwires are as good as gold in my eyes.

  • I've been removing the underwires from dead bras myself and I'm starting to get a bit of a collection!

  • DarianaWheeland Same here! They come in handy when I’m in between sizes on some bras. I’ll slip them in a bra that’s too wide and make it more narrow and projected. Currently on the hunt for a replacement for my bra. Sure loved the look of it. *sigh*
