My Effuniak bras finally gave me all the answers. And I mean All the answers. » All bra adventures

My Effuniak bras finally gave me all the answers. And I mean All the answers.

This adventure took 4 hours or so to write. Bare with me since you will follow my journey of 4 very emotional hours.

So I bought five Effuniak bras. HP Nina 34G, HP Nina 36G, HP Nina 36GG

I'd say HP Nina 34G and 36G both fits but still doesn't fit. Meaning one has gaping at top and one has overspill under my arms. One has killer cleavage and one has subtle beautiful cleavage. Both hurts breasts in the front center from the center gore being slightly too separated.

CHP Mak 34G - quadboob big time.

CHP Koktajl 34GG slight gaping at top but if I would alter the straps and tighten them I would probably need to be careful not to overspill in it. No hurting in the front of my boobs.

On all the bras the straps are far too far out on my shoulders and gives me terrible neck pain.

Also when I sit down I will have more gaping.

And if I take down the straps this will be obvious: The band and the wires in this bra cannot hold me.

But if I lean forward and simply hold my hands on the cups in a leaning over position I will totally overspill.

Why?

Is my Effuniak CHP Koktaijl 34GG then too small or too big?

Let's try something different. Lean over, lay the boob in the cup and boom you'll notice the bra is too small. It doesn't even go around your boob. What appears to be too big cups are way too small cups.

And the band is so loose I can very easily fit two hands underneath. It simply doesn't hold the cups up and my way to heavy boobs weigh the bra down making it appear way too big. And all the weight is on my shoulders.

So this is where I conclude:

1. A bra band might feel too tight since it has sloped down in the front pressing on my rolls, ergo stomach.

2. A smaller cup and bigger band will give me better cleavages but kill my neck since I will constantly tighten the straps to get the boobs up.

3. A tighter band will feel more like a corset. But it will be more stable and take away the neck pain.

4. I will always be in between sizes whatever size I choose. In the smaller I will quadboob and in the larger I will have gaping at top. I am indeed very full on top.

5. Tighter bands and bigger cups looks better under clothing.

6. Bigger bands and smaller cups looks better in the bra.

7. I need the higher coverage from the 34/36 bands.

8. I need the stability from the 30 bands.

But the most important thing of all is this:

9. I'm not only sagged. I'm also soft and have so much migrated breast tissue I doubt my boobs will ever be healed. The damn saggyness and softness and migration do make me appear what I'm not.

And here's the solution to all my bra fitting problems:

I just did this experiment: I laid flat at my back, I held the breast on the sides so that no tissue would fall to my back. I figured my boob then would shape itself the way it's supposed to be. My goodness the shape is simply perfectly rounded with a huge root and extremely high on chest and indeed very shallow. I am even shocked to see it. I wonder if they have ever looked that way and I simply didn't see it, because I am indeed in total shock.

Or did I have a forgotten memory somewhere deep inside? Because how would I else see this shape as ideal and build up a fairytale about looking the exact way as I actually happen too look?

But at least I now have all my answers.

I have indeed migrated about 25% of my boobs away.

I am indeed in too small cups and too big bands. But I do need the coverage of the bigger bands to hold my migrated breast tissue in the cups since I am so damn high on chest. So I will need to buy bigger bras and alter the bands and the straps. Just the way I've done with my Andorra 34J that's now a 30K.

Because I do have a bra size and it's 30J/JJ/K

I never ever thought migration actually could change the shape of ones boobs. Ever. So if you suspect having migrated breast tissue I'd recommend doing my test. Simply hold the boobs on the sides so that all the migrated tissue ends on the chest. Look at the shape.

Because the shape your boobs will have when laying on your back and having all the tissue on the chest is probably the shape you will get from the ideal bra. It's a way quicker way to see if you have migrated breast tissue than waiting forever to make it end on the boobs while scoping.

  • Lol...not mine. I have a small amount of migration, infact earlier today I found the bottom crease where if should be. But this...this just makes me ultra deflated and a couple sizes smaller in appearance. The tissue spreads out all over the place. I don't think it's an ideal method of determining shape or size, at least not for me.

I'm a little confused though. You say you need the coverage a larger band gives...wouldn't it be smaller?

  • I have the same problem with the straps always being too wide set/digging painfully into skin. I think women with more tissue on the sides of their breasts can have this issue since they need more containment on the sides yet there is too little space between the strap/outer underwire. Also it seems it happens if their shoulders are narrower yet need a larger cup to contain all the side tissue or boobs in general. It really changes the whole fit of the bra, causing gaping at the top because when the straps are too far into your armpits, it stops the side of the cups from being pulled far back enough to contain all of the tissue (since your arms are pushing the straps/cups to the front) and forces a "set shape" thus the gaping. I really feel your pain. I have had to spend lots of time altering straps which is not as easy as it sounds, because you must also restitch the piece of elastic that goes from the tip of the outer wire that meets the strap or else the bra won't fit like it's supposed to. It really is worth the time spent making the bra perfect rather than wearing a horribly fitting one... I just wish we didn't have to go through so much to make them work for us.

Also will you be adding any pictures/measurements of those bras? I've always been in love with Ewa bras but I am pretty sure they would not suit my shape because of their depth and projection, unless I try to alter it like above. The sizes you bought are what I think I would need in EM bras. :)
