2019 Faves

As the year is closing across the country, and I have a little more than an hour left, I thought I would share with you my favourite bras of 2019.

This year was spent primarily in Polish bras. While I was still wearing my Cleo Marcy and Lily bras, both are a bit small on me and I mostly stopped wearing them in summer. I think my first bra of the year was also my first BM. I got two more BMs this year. One of them is a favourite of the year.

This year I also saved up a lot and treated myself to a set from Attollo Lingerie from London. My friend was able to pick it up in person for me at a pop up shop while on vacation in London. While the 30FF - Attollo Lingerie » Emelie Longline Navy (BAW17-AT0002-02 is a fave of the year, I have not included it in my list. This is primarily because it’s a longline and my body shape isn’t great with longline bras because my tummy is pretty poochy right between my ribs which kinda stick out as well. So I don’t consider it a daily bra to wear; I wear it on my days off when I know that I will be primarily standing or walking and not bending. I’m hoping at some point to try the Lily which is not a longline.

I also tried a ton of other Polish bras, including an altered Comexim plunge and a Comexim 3HC which spurred me in trying to figure out what my best size and alterations are. This led me to another one of my favourite bras for the year, surprisingly.

So here are my favourite bras from 2019:

1) 32FF - Anna Pardal For Comexim » Lady Grey Sophisticated Balcon was a surprising favourite. I was trying it out for the alterations and size from another user, and this was one I had an option to purchase. It’s a tiny bit small on my big side, but I just love this bra. The silky satin is lovely and I think it’s a good match with my skin tone.

2) 65J - Comexim » Ingrid Plunge Bra (289) was one of my favourite bras of the year and I think it’s been slightly eclipsed by the Lady Grey. But this was my first altered Comexim from another user. It’s a little bit big but it’s hidden somewhat. Between these two bras (and the ones I just got today) I think I might have figured out what I need in the Comexim plunge, or gotten closer to my ideal fit.

3) 70F - Ewa Michalak » Bm Wersal (1310) is my absolute favourite BM. It’s an amazing shade of blue, and the thicker/stronger lace is more supportive and gives me a better shape than the 65FF Cabernet.

4&5) Tied because both are the same cut, just different styles. It was my 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Pl Zlote Oko (776) but once I got the 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Pl Milady (330) , that easily became a favourite. Especially once I bought the matching bottoms. Sadly, I think it’s maybe time to retire the Zlote Oko as the band was destroyed when I got it and I have moved up two hooks this year. But it’s been a go to black bra for me all year. I just love the golden threading in the lace. I would absolutely purchase another one if I could find my size and one in better shape.
