Got bras? Create an account

I am desperately looking for bras with THREE hooks instead of two. Or even more than three, that would probably be amazing. Somehow I got lucky with the first two 'unusual' sized bras I ever ordered and they were both three hook backs in 34E. They were so comfy! Now they are years old and I've lost some weight while gaining some boob (>.<), so they are too big in the band, and the cups are slightly too small, and I've yet to find a bra with three hooks! I just got an order of eight bras from six different brands, and every single one has two hooks on a narrow little band that digs in and leaves me in agony by the end of the day! Why do bra makers do this? Why is it so difficult to find three hooks? And worse, why do they few brands that occasionally use three hooks only do so above some random size? occasionally I find a bra that has three hooks ... until you get down to my size, and it turns into two hooks. UGH.

  • Have a look at Curvy Kate, their bras have three hooks from a FF up I believe and their sizes tend to run small so you might have some luck with them. If you find a bra on Bratabase, it should tell you how many hooks it has for the size you are looking for. Good luck :)

  • I find that UK brands only do 3 hooks for larger cup sizes, usually over G cup, while some European brands do 3 hooks starting lower. If you are not sized out of their line, try Chantelle. They do 3 hooks starting around DDD/E.

Oh and also, this shape doesn't work on everyone, but the Parisa Fe Body Veil Full Busted Demi Bra (PT1027) is the only non-longline bra I've encountered with more than three hooks. It's 4 hooks on a very wide band. Really comfy.
