Advice for someone who really wants a Comexim 3HC but has only ever worn their plunges?

Folks, I really want to make a Comexim order, but I've never ordered direct and I'm unsure about whether to order the Elise 3HC bra in a standard size to first see what alterations I need to make, or whether to jump two feet first and order some alterations and hope it works. I wear Comexim's plunges in 55J/60HH and love them and don't really need any alterations to have them fit. I had the chance to try on a 3HC in store several years ago, and I remember it being an awful fit (too shallow, too wide wires, etc). But I just love the look of Elise as a 3HC instead of what I envision the plunge would look like. If I were to get the 3HC with alterations, I think I would go for 55K to get the depth that I need, but ask them to use 55J wires (so hopefully I can land close to 9" depth and 5" wires), and maybe also add 1cm depth at the wire and have the straps moved in 1cm for good measure. Do y'all think that would work for me? I have even fullness, tall roots, and my breasts aren't terribly close together, so I can wear most gores just fine. I'm fine with an average amount of projection both at the apex and wires, but not any shallower than that.

PS: I live in Canada and I'd be paying out the wazoo for duties and taxes, plus an exchange from across the pond would probably be a pain in the ass. I'm sure you know how it is.
PPS: I'm planning to order four different bottoms, all size small, to give'er a go. Also never tried their bottoms before. Will report back.

  • 3HCs are more shallow and a bit wider compared to the plunges. 55 and 60 bands are already custom anyways, so I don't think you'd be able to try a standard size unless you went with a 65 band sister size...in which case it'll probably not fit that well anyways, so in my humble opinion, you might as well get it customized so it fits better. I think your alterations sound good. I wear 60HH in plunges and 60J in 3HCs. I usually get straps moved in 1 cm and overlapping gore. I don't ask for added depth, but if you found them too shallow, then this would be a good thing for you to do, and swapping wires for the 55J is a good idea too.

I'm in Canada too, and shipping was always 20 zloty, but the last couple times it was 26 zloty for a couple bras. I'm not sure if it's because I've been ordering more than 2 pieces at a time, or if the cost went up, but it's super reasonable anyways. That's shipping and handling including taxes. There's never been any extra duties, customs, etc for me. When you order for BF it takes anywhere from 3-8 weeks to deliver, so don't be surprised if you don'g get it until Jan.

I wear a comemim medium bottoms, and my upper hip measures 35.5-36" and my widest part around my bum measures 38.5". I've only ever tried their thongs and the regular brief (I haven't tried high waisted or the cheeky boy cut).

Let us know what you decide! I thought about the Elise too, but I figure it's too similar to my 65J - Comexim » Natalie Half Cup (491) . I got the white gloria in a 3HC with matching thong, and the Patricia 3HC cause I've always thought it was cute and playful, especially in the Chritmas season. I ordered during their last sale. I ordered it on Nov 2, and it was shipped on Nov 16.

  • Definitely agree with the above ^.
Right now I’m in between a 65J and 65K cup in plunge, but definitely have to go with the 65K in 3HC cut.
For bottoms I’m 34.5” upper hip and 37.5” lower hip/fullest part of my butt. I wear a Medium in Comexim undies, in Ewa Michalak undies I’m a 38/Small. I’m a U.S. size 6 in jeans. Hope that helps. :)
