Turns out I didn't know my breast shape after all!
I always thought my breasts had short roots, were kinda wide, were bottom full, conical and I thought about getting bras that fit this shape. Then, one day, I bent over to measure myself again but in front of a mirror this time. My breast shape leaning was completely different than what I had been thinking since I found the subreddit ABTF!
I actually had tall roots! I had even fullness! My breasts were narrow! They were still conical but I never thought in a million years that I'd have tall roots because I struggle with gaping at the top quite often but I noticed how some closed off bras actually cut into my breast tissue and someone mentioned it during a fitting check. Who knew!?
Edit- forgot that they're also actually much more close set than I thought.
They're still functionally fob and short rooted because it's hard to provide actual support for my breasts, there's nothing to support, it's a slope. Nothing to push up, really.
I thought I knew my shape quite well, crazy how you learn something new every day!

Haha, turns out I was right then!!! For me, it's my shoulders. I was always under the impression that I had narrow shoulders but being on this site and seeing how some people struggle with how far apart certain bras' straps are made me realize that actually I think I have average-to-broad shoulders. Growing up, I was always thinking about this in relation to my mom, who not only has broad shoulders but has more of a square shape than I do, so I think I was envisioning my proportionally smaller ribcage and more triangular torso as making me have narrow shoulders.
@bustyand now that I think about it, I think my shoulders aren't as narrow as I think either. My mom said I had a broad back when I was a kid and I was like "what? No, my upper body is so small" but that's only in comparison to my giant hips. Can't believe I find new things about my body out after existing already for so many years (not as many you think but yeah).
