Victoria's Secret fitting for the first time

And it was not as bad as I had expected, but still not that great.

Of course they measured the top of the chest and bust. She deemed me to be in between 32C and D, but suggest that I try C first. Before I started wearing full bust bras, I primarily wore 32D/DD and they were pretty comfortable for me.

After wearing full bust bras for six months I have come to the realization- it's not that my 32D/DD ever fitted too badly. I didn't have much quadraboob, the band was somewhat parallel ish (slight ride up), the gore sat flush with my sternum. However I always found I need to pull my bra straps tight so I can get the lift and support I need. But overall, things weren't too bad.

But I really love the lift and support I get in full bust bras/sizing methodologies. I now wear 28Fs and I feel like the band and centre gore really anchors around my body properly, and I never have to adjust during the day.

For smaller full-bust girls, was your previous size not as much of a horrendous fit? There's many horror stories out there of VS putting bigger chested girls in horrendously small sizes with mega quadboob and major band ride up, but I wonder about the stories of the not-so-big busted.

  • I wear size 28FF now and before this I wore 32DD, so it wasn't too far off. I didn't find the bras too uncomfortable but I did have to pull the band down all the time and the straps were doing most of the work so I didn't get a lot of lift!

  • I never had a fitting at VS because when I was wearing their bras I was a teenager and already knew everything. I remember giggling with friends at women who did get measured. Looking back, that's embarrassing, but slightly less embarrassing than many other things we did on a much more frequent basis. But my experience with their bras was that the bands were always very stretchy and never very supportive. You could probably wear their 32 band and it wouldn't feel particularly loose. Then again, someone with a 42 inch measurement could wear the same bra and it wouldn't be very tight either.
