This last weekend I decided that I wanted to try on a bunch of bras without having them shipped to me and subsequently shipped back because I still don't really know my size. So, I did what any girl does in this situation, I drove the 4 hours to the big city to the nearest boutiques. (Don't worry, we had other reasons to go to the big city, not just for this. ) At the first store I went to, they asked me what size I was currently wearing and I told them that I was wearing a 34F in UK size, but that it was too small and needed to be replaced. Obviously they weren't listening to me, because even though I don't know my size, I know that I am not in any way, shape, or form a 36DD. After trying on several bras in this size I just had to leave, it wasn't working, and they wouldn't get me a bigger one to try on no matter how many times I kept saying "this one doesn't fit". I'm all about supporting small businesses when I can, but not when they don't have what I want or need.

So, the next day I tried a different store, and they actually listened to my size and brought in bras that were pretty close to what I needed. In fact, I THOUGHT I'd even found one that fit pretty well, so I bought it. Unfortunately, after an hour of wear, it started to kill me. Even more unfortunate, I was back home when I tried it and I bent the wires trying to make it tolerable (what? It worked with the Lunaires)....so now I'm stuck with a gorgeous bra that doesn't fit me at all. There is a happy ending though! I'm a lot closer to finding the right size (I think it's going to be a UK 34G), if I can just find one that has straps that are closer together in the front. And that search is what led me here....
