Realizing the issue that I have- narrow shoulders

The main problem I have with nearly every bra is the straps slip or otherwise move around. Unlucky as I am, I have very sensitive shoulders from a shoulder injury, so it irritates me quite a bit. I think this happens because I am pretty petite and my shoulders are narrow, so the straps on the bras are too bra apart. It's hard to know this is going to happen in a store because a bra can look great and then start bothering me when I'm actually moving.

Petite bras don't seem to have big enough cup sizes for me. I have managed to find only two bras so far without this problem- Fantasie Esme and the Wacoal Women's Basic Beauty Full Figure Underwire. Unfortunately the Esme's cups weren't right for my shape and the Wacoal's gore digs into me. Both have a v-shaped back, so I'm going to try more bras that have this back.

  • Maybe those silicone strap cushion pads would help? If you are not sensitive to the material, that could be a life saver, they are not only comfy but they keep the strap from sliding anywhere :)

  • Some women use the t-back clips to make the straps into racer-back styles. That may help on bras that don't have the back style you need.
