Aug 13, 2013 -- Hey, boobs, what are you up to?!

My Chantelle Rive Gauche T-shirt bras have been behaving oddly lately: I find myself constantly adjusting and they're just not as comfortable as they used to be. The same bra one size up that was laughably large on me about a month ago now practically seems to fit the way the smaller size used to. Some empty space on my smaller left side and the straps fully shortened (I am very short through my upper torso, so that is more a given than an exception anyway), but for all practical purposes I could easily proclaim it a 'fit'. My Braologie Posture-Contour Casual bra I got a bit over a month ago also fits differently: it used to fit best with at least one of the pads in place and the straps tightened almost to the max, but now, with the straps much looser and no pads anywhere, they will soon start quadding on me if this whatever-it-is continues ...

My measurements haven't changed, as far as I can tell, but I seem to have already gained at least about half a cup size. During this entire episode my breasts have been feeling 'warm' and 'heavy-ish'. The glandular 'core' inside has been feeling firmer and somewhat tender too.

Hormonal fluctuation? Possible, but for more than a month without pause (and no, I am not pregnant)?

Still some residual 'post-breastfeeding reconstruction'? Possible, I guess. I have no idea how long it takes for the body to resume its pre-preggo fat storing patterns -- not that pre-preggo anything ever went to my breasts, but still.

Random act of breast growth? I'm 35, but never say never, I suppose.

Weight gain? Not that I have noticed.

Tissue migration? I've always been a sceptic, especially when it comes to my own body. I have never had any 'stray fluff' on my upper body, nor have my past bra-wearing habits (or rather lack thereof) been such that they would have caused much migration to begin with.

*sigh*

  • Hmm..I would think hormones or a random act of breast growth.
My boobs did something similar a while back when I started wearing bras that fit better than my old ones, even before I gained weight.
Did you by any chance start eating something different, perhaps soy?
Other than that,I have no idea. O_O

  • Ever since I've been wearing taller sided bras, including Braologie, the same thing has been happening to me. Also, my breast tissue feels "harder" on the sides than it used to. I haven't written about it because I was afraid I was delusional.

Hormones, of course, play a huge role, as does body temperature, stress, etc. Still - my breasts behave differently than they used to in that they really seem to be migrating. My husband (who generally wouldn't notice if I painted myself green and set my hair on fire) has remarked several times that my boobs look fuller, and he says this without being prompted.

When I first started wearing taller sided bras I was getting the "warm heavy" thing too, and a "pulling" sensation. Honestly, I was afraid I'd start lactating because of possibly too much stimulation! (I didn't thank goodness).
