When your boobs are liquids: continuous confusion about shape and fit

After a lot of measuring and confusion, I know for sure I am very splayed and pretty soft, medium set, FoT, and inner full. I think I have maybe wide roots, a little bit conical, and shallow…

At first I thought maybe I had super tall roots but I think that I have a chunkier side chest area leading to the tail of Spence. It’s a little confusing because some parts of my upper breast I can feel my bones through it, but since my tissue is soft, it can easily be pushed up to cover the bones as well. It’s been super confusing to find the edge of the roots on the side!!! I am never sure what wire shape is good

I figured since I’m shallow that I should try balcony cups— so I tried the btempted foundations balconette in 32DD which is the ABFT calculator size, which fit pretty much exactly without spillage, until I started moving around and the migrated tissue/bit leading up to the tail of Spence spilled everywhere and it gapped a lot. This seemed to be the case for the t-shirt bras I tried on at Victoria’s Secret a month ago when I started the bra testing journey!!! At the time I was confused because I would get spillage in the center with the 32D thanks to inner fullness, and tried to size up to 32DD

I’m currently thinking of combatting the migrating tissue, which currently is always making contact with my arm, by trying out side support bras… maybe with a more flat/wider angled center gore for the splaying, and a balconette style open cup thing from Natori, Skarlett Blue, and B’Tempted, maybe even Satami/Mode Marie (recommended by bratabase) if I figure out my size!

Do you guys think I’m heading in the right direction? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for mesh bras, or perhaps natural fabric bras for those with sensitive skin? I think I’m floundering because there are so many things to look at and I have so many things I’m trying to keep in my brain.

I’ve ordered the skarlett blue spellbound and btempted no strings attached contour balconette— I hope they work out!!! Fingers crossed and likely will end up asking for fitting help when they arrive

PS: how many people do you usually have data on in your recommended bras? Many of mine are between 1-5 ish, and I wonder if my boobs are just weird and my recommendations are just too rare to find things despite being a very normal smaller size

  • SOunds like you may want to consider doing a "fitting help" with measurements and good quality photos. It is hard to give advice just based on words as I find that folks staring out on their bra journey aren't always fully aware of what their body looks like and what a good fitting bra looks and feels like. It is a challenge for sure!

  • I do have some pictures from an earlier fitting— I think I’ll try to clean up those pictures and post in fitting help first then! Thanks jazzy
*Edit- I ended up returning them before measuring them so I think I’ll just have to wait
