Bras brands with wide wires and shallow cup?

Hi again everyone! Previously after many, many, many months of frustration... I gave up. I settled for a basic Calvin Klein wireless bra off Amazon and it did what I needed, or so I thought. I don't need support, my breasts naturally support themselves. I just need some light padding to hide my anatomy, or I have headlights 24/7. Sadly this bra is giving me the same issues my previous ones have, with less negative side effects. My bras tends to push themselves down, and shove the front of the band into my ribs. I've done research and have come to understand this means I don't have enough space in my bra. My bra is acting like a hinge, pushing outwards/downwards and pressing into my ribs. In sturdier bras this can cause severe pain. I am very easily prone to rib and back pain, so I cannot wear minimizers or back smoothing. The back pain becomes unbearable very quickly. This also goes for corset style bras, all the extra wires cause a lot of pain as soon as I put the bra on. A lot of seamed bras are in this style.

ABraThatFits kept trying to get me to get more and more projected bras, all of which coned off my boobs and caused pain as soon as I put them on. I gave up there because no one would actually listen to me. Please no Freya, Panache, or similar brands. They are incredibly painful for me as soon as I put them on.

After all this time I have come to realize what my issue may actually be. I've had an issue with wires sitting on the sides of my breast tissue. As a result my breasts would push the wires down to get enough space. This would generally happen within thirty minutes of putting on the bra. The only time this hasn't happened is when I got a cup size too big on accident. It fit in the store perfectly, but an hour of wear and I had wrinkles everywhere. This made me very sad because it was the comfiest bra I've ever worn. It was a Chantelle.

Does anyone know of a brand that has super wide wires, and runs a the cup itself is a size small? I think this might be what my body needs. Also my tissue is very soft and tends to melt into the cup before pushing it down. I pretty heavily believe I am a very wide root and shallow breast. My suggested size is... 34F/36DD.

P.s. I did find a list of brands that wires run wide, however every single one I tried on the wide end didn't fit. b'tempt'd and stuff like that. Also Amazon revoked my Try Before you Buy... irritating.

  • I didn't quite get one bit. Are you looking for a bra with underwires or not? From what you describe it looks like underwires will always be painful if they're snug enough.

I don't think that a very wide wire is the right thing to do as it would simply poke you in a different place, closer to your armpit or your back,

Is it an option to wear other kind of wireless bras? Those verbotem brands you mention have wire free options as well, which will of course have more information to go by than an obscure brand.

Nipple silicone petals could be an option for the headlights, but I'm not sure how much of an option it is to make them part of the daily apparel.

  • Thank you for your response Jj! I actually think I would prefer wired bras. I have never found a wireless bra that doesn't do what I've mentioned above. I have worn a wired bra before all this that I thought fit. I think it had the sinking issue but it didn't cause me pain.
