My sternum....
While I've learned that tall sides and long underwires are the only things that don't give me underarm rolls, it's almost as though my sternum is too deep for the taller sides.
Today as, my Braologies and Jasmine are having a Wash Day, I attempted to wear 1. Soma Sensuous Sides. 2. Ewa Michalak Toffik CH. 3. Currently wearing Parfait Charlotte Balconette.
I am certain my shape has changed over the months; there's no doubt about it. The gore on the Sensuous Sides would NOT touch my sternum and the more I shifted the more double-boobed I became.
The Toffik seems to have too much room at the top of the cups unless 'm standing up straight (when it cuts into the tops of my breasts!), but the fit isn't awful enough to stop me from wearing this bra. Actually, I thought looked great, for a few hours. Then I began to notice that the cups of the bra kept shifting to the left. (Left boob is bigger). The straps were in their usual too-wide-set place, the band seemed snug, but the cups, and my whole shirt kept getting noticeably crooked. When I had the chance, I changed my bra...again.
I think the problem with the Toffik begins the the center gore being both too low for my deep sternum, and possibly too narrow to make a bridge over the deepest part of my sternum. As the wires attempt to go down into my sternum, the cups slide below my inframammary folds, and instead of lifting breast tissue, the heavier breast pulls the whole front of the bra toward my left side.
Does that make sense?
Now I'm wearing my Parfait Charlotte Balconette, which, frankly, looks better without any clothing over it
I am really disappointed with the shape this gives me. The center gore simply WON'T stay off my breast tissue. The tops of the cups are really digging into the tops of my breasts, and if the center gore were to go all the way down into my sternum, the sides of the cups cause armpit rolls. If I try to lift the bra higher the front wires crush the breast tissue next to my sternum.
I feel like my inframammary fold is too low for my breasts, and my sternum is too deep in the center for the wideness between my breasts...Is this what is meant by "non-traditional crease" (HerRoom term)?
There are couple of photos here, from several months ago, in one of my "pre-Bratabase" bras. They shows the center gore attempting to sit on my sternum:

Wow! sorry to hear you're having such a crummy bra day. I took a look at the pics attached and boy does that bra look uncomfortable. I can't imagine having to wear that all day.
