The Parfait Charlottes Compared

I posted last week (link to original post added) about how I needed my usual band size of 30 in the Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte Balconet Bra (6931), but had to go up one cup size to 30G for a good fit. In the balconette, I stand by my advice to order your usual band size (unless you need/prefer loose bands) and go up one cup size (or possibly two, if you're FOT; I have even fullness).

So I ordered the Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte (6901) padded plunge in the same size: 30G. Nope! The band fits the same as the balconette version, but the cups on this one are deeper and run true to size — as in, they're obviously one cup size too large for me. They're also more open at the top, so I'd recommend that the FOT go for this version of the Charlotte. My band advice is the same as for the balconette above, but I'd start with your regular cup size in this version.

The wires are fairly wide on both versions, so those with narrow roots will probably not be happy with the fit of either Charlotte. Wires and wings are also quite tall on both; the high-rooted or short-torsoed should stay away.

I'm not sure if the 6901 plunge has enough immediate projection at the bottom of the cups for me, which was not an issue in the 6931 balconette. I think the cups want to crease at the bottom just like the Curvy Kate Tempt Me did on me (and pretty much everyone else).

I'm still trying to decide if I should reorder the 6901 in my usual size of 30FF or just give up on it.

  • If you could link to this adventure or put this text on the comparison of the bras would be super helpful for anybody else in the future when checking how these two bras match up.

  • Good idea. Link added, Jj.
