Ewa Michalak

So I discovered the incredible fit that is Ewa Michalak a bit ago, and my goodness I do love them! What a shape, what a fit! I was a bit surprised that I liked the PL as much as I do...I'm not one for "plunging" anything but goodness me, these fit like a dream, as do the S, SM, CHP and HP. Just wow.

I couldn't wait for the new styles, the Ewa Michalak Chp Gazeta and the Ewa Michalak Pl Charlie to be precise. They arrived yesterday!

I was...both surprised and disappointed. The bras themselves are GORGEOUS, absolutely GORGEOUS, so well-made and just, well, gorgeous! But it's funny. They are huge. I had read that it was recommended to size up in the Gazeta band. I didn't do that. I have EMs in both 70E and 75E, and so to be on the safe side I ordered the 75Es. (I know these are not sister sizes but for whatever reason both these sizes work for me. I'm wearing the S Porcelanka in 70E as we speak and I think this is my favorite bra ever, though I guess there is gapping up top.) But these two new ones...the cups are HUGE. The band is not bad but the cups...HUGE! I don't understand it at all. I'll have to get the measurements into the Bratabase before I return them. I did re-order in 70E since I have those that fit, but I'm starting to wonder if I did the right thing. Because 70E is sister size to 75F, right? Which would mean the cups will be even bigger. Crud, I did screw up.

Edit: Please, someone weigh in on this because now I'm all screwed up. The 75E is huge in the cup, so if I order 70DD, that's the same cup volume, yes? I would need a 70D? That sounds so weird.

  • Sister sizes :
    70D = 75C
    70DD = 75d
    70e = 75dd
    70f = 75e
    70ff = 75f
    When you go down one band size, you have to go up a letter to keep the same cup volume. if you go up a band size, go down a letter.

    So, in your case, 70e is one cup size smaller than your too big 75e, not one cup bigger.

    Hope I have helped you...

  • Oh! Yay! So ordering the 70E was the right choice! Oh thank goodness...I was starting to think I'd gone round the bend. :)
