So, I was "fitted" by eye today in a posh Greek department store... As a 36D!

The conversation went like this;

Shop: what size are you?
Me: #making snap decision about whether to say 30GG or lie, didn't answer#
Shop: you look like a 36D
Me: yeah, about that....

God it looked awful.. When I said there was a lot of flesh at the top of the cup, she said it was a balconette style - no lady, it just didn't fit!

I did not buy it, and was slightly offended at the sizing!

  • oh, I love when people can "fit" by eye. The last person that claimed this (not surprisingly a VS associate) said that I didn't look bigger than a DD when I told her that I was a G cup. Yeah, they don't appear bigger than they are because I am wearing a bra that fits.

  • Fitting by eye is better than a flawed measuring system. Because numbers are just that. A measuring tape doesn't look at your frame size, tissue density, shape, or what you want out of a bra. Granted, some do not know how to measure by eye because they're still used to "old" sizes.
