Dec 10, 2013: Change in size
Whenever I measure my rib cage, I consistently measure at a 31" (cup size used to be a 40/41" and is now a solid 42"). When I first started buying bras in the right size, I found I preferred breaking in tighter bands with an extender in the 30 range rather than having too loose of bands in the 32 range. I fit in the Cleo Olivia really well in the band, in a 30H for a long time. However after wearing a proper fitting bra and scooping and swooping, I moved up to my current 42" bust. Now nothing I have for my previous cup size really fits, but the band on that Cleo Olivia is still the best. I tried the Cleo Bella in the same size (when I was still getting used to proper fitting bras) and the band/straps were too tight/rough but manageable with an extender. So now after figuring out that I for sure need to go up a cup size, I am hesitant to continue with a 30" band because of my struggles with particular bra styles (which the Olivia and Bella are pretty similar in cut just not fabric).
Are there any recommendations out there for a "looser" 30" band bra or a "tighter" 32" bra with a similar cup cut to the @Cleo Olivia? (I don't do horizontal line cuts on the cups well-- for example the @Panache Andorra is a no no, I need that "J" shape in the sides of the cup).

Cleo Meg, Sasha, Alexa and Lily have similar cut to Olivia.
Preferences change over time. My snug band size has gone up 1 inch, my extremely tight one down 1 inch, and my loose one up 2 inches. Normally people who fit the British method would suggest either staying at the size I was wearing or to go down because I have squish (6 inches of it now). I can't do that anymore. I used to wear a 28 and now I can't even do most 30s. I actually +4 my really tight size.
Also, I don't see any horizontal seam bras on your profile? Have you tried any (I assume so, I just want to know more about what fits you)?
