I've mentioned in a previous "Bra Adventure" that I was disappointed that I couldn't find bras by Goddess and Elomi in size 40D because the smallest they made in a 40 band was 40DD. And now that I understand "sister sizes", was considering doing 38DD with bra extenders. That idea isn't really that appealing to me though.
But I found with a little research, 3 bras from these companys in 40D that I think are what I am looking for.#1 Goddess"Rose Bandless underwire "(GD6081) #2 Elomi "Smoothing Seamfree underwire"(EL3911) and #3 Anita"Rosa Faia Seamless underwire" (5490). The Anita is $69 and the Goddess and Elomi's are both under $50. Do any of you think these are good bras for someone who wants full-coverage, supportive bras?

  • I've found Goddess and Elomi to be a bit problematic in the smaller cupsizes below F. Their strength really is in the larger cups. The woman who designs those bras wears a 38JJ, their core customers are in the 36-42 F-J (UK) range and this is the size range where these two brands work best. That said, the best place for 40D bras by Elomi and Goddess is ebay, especially ebay.co.uk. There you got a lot more options.

On contrast, the Anita Rosa Faia Twin is made for sizes D-F, so it might be better for you. Downside is that this is a minimiser, so while it might be super comfy it does not always give the best shape.

Caveat is of course, that the 40D is your true size. In the picture you look larger than that.

  • Hey t_maia, what do you think of the Chantelle Amazone? do you think
Chantelle is ok for 40D. But mabe I am bigger than 40D.I 've been fitted at Nordstrom at 40D but when I measure myself I get underbust 39.5 and around fullest part of the bust 45.5. Maybe I should try a 40DD/E. What do you think?
