Would it be a good idea to allow incomplete measurements on Bratabase?

This has probably already been discussed before but...I know that everyone probably hates taking measurements as much as I do but love when bras have them. I often find myself wanting to just do a few measurements and then maybe add the rest later or for some bras that are total disasters maybe I'd be willing to add cup depth and width but don't want to bother with all the rest before I send it back. So I end up not doing anything at all.

Wouldn't having a few measurements be better than nothing? A minimum of say any three or three that are deemed very important (like cup depth, cup width and gore width) could be required to make sure people don't get too lazy. A system like the 100% complete could be used to encourage people to finish adding the bra.

At the very least I'd like a draft system for saving measurements because as a mom I know I get interrupted way too much to finish most of the time.

I just think there's room for improvement here that would ultimately yield more measurements overall.

  • I agree. I would love to at least be able to "save progress" or whatever so I don't have to set aside such a chunk of time for measurements. :)

  • Is it easier to take out the bra and measuring tape two times instead of one?

The measurements don't have to be done all at once, although there are a couple that need to be added together so we can validate that they're correct, wire length, cup width and depth.

Other than that, you can leave the rest in 0 and do it later.

I know that many dislike taking measurements and sadly that's why many don't use the site, and those who did despise the fact that we ask for their help for verifications.

But the work to be done is not in make more fields optional (and have less data) but in making those fields fun to fill out so they don't feel like a chore.
