Hello all! I'm new, and in need of some help? Encouragement? I'm finding the search for my actual size one of the most frustrating endeavours. I do have access to in-person fittings at a local (reputable) store, but my 15 month old daughter keeps thwarting my fittings by getting hungry/tired/bored/frightened etc. The one day a week she's in care, I'm at work.
In desperation, I've turned to online ordering. Today, a handful of bras I ordered to try on for size arrived, and I geared myself up to take photos in order to ask for fitting help -- but honestly, mostly I'm just feeling really weirded out about my own shape right now. I never knew I looked this way
I didn't expect the bras to work (although of course I hoped at least one might, because return postage costs from Australia aren't exactly friendly), but I didn't expect to feel worse than when I started, either.

Hey! Sorry you're having a rough time. As I'm sure you know, try not to stress about putting photos up for fitting help, and recognize that a lot of people look a bit different in photos than in reality. It comes with making a 3D person into a 2D image. Also, your image in a photo is flipped compared to how you see yourself when looking in a mirror, so often it can just look off to you.
Bratabase is a judgement and snark free zone. And I think deleting your fit request/photos after getting some advice is always an option, if you find you're still uncomfortable.
Best wishes! And I know there are some other Australian users here. Maybe one will interested in swapping/selling bras to help you find your size without international shipping costs? Check the listings here on bratabase :)
I usually end up feeling worse after a marathon bra try-on, because it's really, really hard to remember in the moment that it's not you that doesn't fit into any of the bras, it's that none of the bras fit on to you. Not to mention by the time I've put on and taken off that many bras I'm usually kind of hot and irritated from all the physical exertion.
If you can get someone to eyeball some of them (either by going to the shop or by posting a fit request or by just describing what's not quite right), you might be able to get some ideas that will help you refine your next order so you're not just making a total shot in the dark.
