Wash day! I actually find it relaxing and enjoyable...
So, before I learned about correct bra sizing and the beautiful world of well supported ta-tas, washing my bras involved throwing them in with the rest of my clothes in the washer, normal cycle and then followed up with (gasp!) a full cycle in the dryer. It never occurred to me that this is what caused creasing and gaping in the molded cups and destroyed the elastic. Maybe because I was already wearing a band 6 sizes too large, that I didn't seem to care if 'horribly loose' got 'grotesquely loose'. I remember when I would purchase new bras, usually in the exact same model and size as my previous one, how much better it looked. I figured bras just aged.
Now, I handwash and airdry all my bras, sports bras included. I care way too much about these babies to not pamper them. And I enjoy every minute of it. Oh, and I live in a cabin with no running water (don't worry, it's normal here.). I have high speed internet but no plumbing. So I get to feel all old-fashiony, heating my wash water on the stove and setting out my plastic wash tubs. I squirt some lavender Dr. Bronner's on them and get lost in the beautiful scent as I soak and scrub and admire all my pretties. Then I go outside to the front porch of my cabin and hang them all up for the world to see, which is maybe the one neighbor down the road, pine trees, squirrels, and my appalled manly man boyfriend. Last wash I hung 11 bras out front, creating a beautiful lacy rainbow. Kind of resembled those Tibetan prayer flags. I kept peeking out my window to admire them, lol.
Anyone else get all into washing their bras, or am I just still in the honeymoon phase with them?

I love it too - I hang mine on a rack in the living room, to be admired going up and down the stairs.
Ha! That's awesome. Good to know I'm not alone in being absolutely nutso about bras!
