Bra fit when sitting down versus standing
So I was near the mall the other day and decided to stop at Nordstrom to try on a few bras. I was surprised and excited to find that the Freya Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) fit me... for the most part! My typical size in Freya half cups is a 36FF, so I was surprised by how well that one seemed to fit me. However, I tried on the 36F too (out of curiosity) and noticed a few things.
While standing up, the 36F seemed to fit better than the 36FF. There was a teeny bit of quad-boob happening with my larger breast, but I've found that to be pretty standard with a lot of my bras. But then I sat down to test out the height of the cups and I noticed that the quad-boobing got extreme! My breasts were almost popping out of the top of the cups! This is a plunge bra though, so I kind of understand, but it still seemed like a big difference.
The 36FF was a different story. The cups almost seem *very slightly* too big while standing, as there was a little bit of gapping around around both breasts. However, once I sat down, the cups were filled perfectly.
I wish I had been able to take pictures, but my phone was dead. Anyway, have you ever noticed a difference like this in your bras before? If so, what's more important to you when buying a bra, the fit while standing or while sitting down?

I know there can be a huge difference in fit when seated for women with shorter torsos, high tummies or both. Someone posted here a couple weeks ago that the underwire BROKE on her new bra after a 3 hour drive (she was obviously seated the whole time) even though it was presumably a comfortable fit when she first tried it on (standing up).
I notice some quadboob and/or gaping if I sit down and really slump my shoulders, but I know this is happening because my torso isn't straight, not because the bra doesn't fit me.
Anyway I'd be tempted to say shoot for the stars and try to find something that fits at least OK both standing and sitting. A little weirdness in certain positions is to be expected but it should not do anything painful or totally visible through clothes in most ordinary positions (standing, walking, sitting straightish the way you would at your desk in the office or leaning over your students if you're a preschool teacher, etc.)
Oh yes,my boobs are much bigger when I sit than when I stand.Sometimes buying a bra more suited for full on top than I am helps with this,I just don't have much cleavage standing up.If the quadboob isn't too bad and it's not uncomfy I just call it my cleavage when sitting down bra. ;)
But the Deco is normally best for those full on top,so it sounds you probably are very full on top?
