Bratabase fit/didn't fit label

Bit of a ramble, but I've added a lot of bras over the past couple of days and it's got me thinking about the fit/didn't fit marker. Sometimes I'll add a bra that I consider to be a pretty great fit, but it will be marked as not fitting due to something really minor (like the cup being slightly too wide, side being sliiightly taller than I'd prefer, or the straps being slightly too wide-set for my narrow shoulders). This means that either I would either have to change my answers and basically lie to get it to register as fitting me, or include the minor issues, resulting in bras that are basically the best thing available for people in my size range being indiscriminately grouped together with awful bras. While I want to keep information as accurate as possible, sometimes it feels like similar size/shape people might come to my profile to see which bras worked for me, and unless I make my own favourites list or whatever, they'll miss them completely.

I was wondering if it could be an idea to change the fit options at all, so while there could still be an objective fit based on whether you have any fit issues (like there is now), you could also input whether or not you would personally say it fits you - whether that's a yes/no choice, or a scale of excellent/good/okay/poor/awful? I don't know if that would be a ridiculous amount of work or if it would overcomplicate various things, but it's occurred to me a few times and I thought I would bring it up nonetheless. Any thoughts? Jj?

  • I like this idea. I feel the same about a lot of my bras. An option for fit scale would be fantastic.

  • I suppose it depends how you interpret the language of the fit questions, but to me when it says "the straps are too wide set" I interpret that to mean "are they so wide set that the bra doesn't work for you." In other words "too XYZ" to me means the fit issue is a deal breaker--not just "not ideal." Does that make any sense?
