A lesson in how different brands and models fit differently... I caved in and bought bras for my actual measurements, two Elomis and an Elila. The Elomi Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030) and Elomi Amelia Bandless Moulded Bra (8740) are perfect fits, but the cups on the Elila Stretch Lace Underwire (2311) felt at least one size too big, and I looked vaguely cone-shaped. Hmmm.
This makes me wish that more bra shops carried plus-sized bras with large cup sizes. I suspect that there are many more of us out there. I stuffed myself into a 44DD for years, adding an extender to accommodate PMS-related water weight.

Well if this is your first foray (or first in a long time) into bras that fit your actual measurements, 2 out of 3 is pretty great! I love the Caitlyn.
The cone shape can happen with certain side support designs. If the side support panel or sling is angled wrong for your breast shape/density, it can create a very unnatural looking shape, especially in combination with other extra-firm-support features like stiff, thick fabrics and seams positioned for tight uplift and centering. I quite like this vintage-boob shape for myself, but it's well-established I am a weirdo ;-)
You don't mention your size range, but I have friends in the deep cup/plus range who swear by the web retailer Woman Within. They have an impressive selection, a lot of good clearance deals year-round, and an unbeatable returns and exchanges policy (direct quote "No sale is every final" -- plus a 90 day return window).
wendybien I think I did very well, considering that I bought the bras online! I think the con-shape was more because of the side sling and the very stretchy fabric. I like the vintage look myself, just not this one!
Woman Within has quite a few more models/brands in my size that I'll try out eventually. Their return policy is great.
